Silber’s Matteo Dal-Cin, Ryan Roth and new signing, Michael Le Rossignol, are currently preparing for the season in sun-soaked Tucson–the hometown of our DS, Gord Fraser. Last weekend, the three riders hopped into the Santa Catalina Omnium, an event organized by the U of Arizona cycling team. On Saturday, Roth was fourth in the sci-fi-green-spillage-sounding BioPark Blast Criterium, which was won by Kevin Mullervy (Champion Systems).
On Sunday, Roth was joined by his teammates to contest the Oracle Road Race. During an aggressive start, Dal-Cin slipped away with a small group, eventually coming second to winner, Chad Beyer. Roth finished 8th, which resulted in a 3rd place overall in the Omnium.
These results, plus Perry and Cataford coming 1-3 in California, suggest the boys are rounding into form before the start of our season in San Dimas. Onward!
